New York Travel Guide Thailand (gave us a Star as well!! and said: "Wow! A guesthouse where you actually feel like a guest in someone's house!  In this case, Australian proprietor Timothy Schwan's.  Pop-art guestrooms are decorated with giant paintings adorning the walls, chairs in the shape of giant hands, and kitschy lamps.  What really creates the impression you are staying in someone's bedroom are the smaller details: a collection of books, including Thai travel guidebooks, Thai language manuals, and easy reading beach novels; a few DVD's atop the TV; colorful beach towels; and cozy beds covered with a dozen pillows and even a stuffed animal.  Bathrooms are similarly accoutered.  Penthouse room features a huge terrace with two teak sun beds, out door dinning, a lazy banana bed with sweeping 180 degree view and, just indoors, a private bath tub overlooking the terrace towards Chaweng Beach. Breakfasts are arguably the best on the island, although other meals are quite decent as well, and the vibe in the lobby bar/restaurant is friendly and comfortable."
