Koh Samui, situated off the East coast in Southern Thailand , is the largest of an archipelago of more than 80 islands, for the greater part uninhabited, the Angthong Marine National Park (The Golden Bowl)

Tropical island lined with coconut palms and with white sandy beaches, Samui is connected to the mainland by boats and planes.

Initially, Koh Samui was labeled ' Paradise ' because of it's tropical tranquil beaches, friendly people and magnificent natural hinterland.Then the attraction become beach parties, open air night clubs and shopping. Now the focus is on relaxation and good food. Akwa Guesthouse is located at the 'quieter' end of Chaweng beach. Chaweng is the most popular beach on Koh Samui and is located on the eastern coast of the island with the coastline that is about 6 kilometers long.

The waters at Chaweng are clear and warm year round and are suitable for swimming, windsurfing, parasailing, snorkeling and other water sports.

The two entry point to Koh Samui, airport and harbor, are only about 20 minutes relaxing drive from the doorsteps of Akwa Guesthouse.

GETTING TO KOH SAMUI

Situated in the Gulf of Thailand, Koh Samui can be accessed easily via Bangkok and many other cities. Bangkok Airways flies hourly to Samui from Bangkok and also has flights from Pattaya, Hua Hin, Phuket and Singapore. You can also travel via rail or tour bus from almost any other city to the town of Suratthani from where you take a short 1.5 hour ferry ride from Don Sak ferry terminal to Koh Samui.

Domestic air-travel to Phuket Island By Thai Int. Airways then By Bangkok Airways to Koh Samui

Land tranfer from Samui Airport to the property is avialable at THB 300 per one way per person, pay direct to the property. (please advise arival time and flight number)

Domestic air-travel to Surat Thani (Thai Int. Airways), followed by bus/ferry transfer to Koh Samui. Night-train to Surat Thani (10 hours), followed by bus/ferry transfer to Koh Samui Air-conditioned bus from Bangkok to Koh Samui (12 hour)
