We are located at the south end of renowned Chaweng beach, well away from the hustle and bustle of the main resort areas. We are just across the road from Poppies Resort (very famous) And Seascape Resort in Chewang.
I don’t like to arrange a taxi picks up as the new airport is very confusing and it is now very difficult for a taxi and or pick up car to actually find you even with a sign. I would suggest that you take a mini bus, or taxi to get to us. This should cost you approximately 150 THB per person and a taxi should be around 300 THB. Again we are located at the south end of renowned Chaweng beach, well away from the hustle and bustle of the main resort areas. We are just across the road from Poppies Resort (very famous). If they are confused just tell them to go to Poppies Resort or Seascape resort as we are opposite these places.
Note: if you are booking on behalf of someone else or for your partner or friends please inform them of all the details below, as I have had some issues where people may have been expecting baby cots (we don’t have any) extra beds (we don’t have any) and Twin bed rooms (we don’t have any). |

| What To Do On Samui! |
| For relaxation of the mind and body a myriad of activities are available for guests of Akwa Guesthouse & Restaurant. You can go for a leisurely swim in the warm waters of The Gulf of Thailand. Perhaps go windsurfing with the tropical breezes. Go sightseeing at some of the inland tropical waterfalls. There are also a myriad of Day Spas right near your front door. Or you may prefer to stay indoors and enjoy a delicious meal, a cocktail, glass of wine of a cold beer from Akwa's extensive drink list in the restaurant and bar. |

| Nightlife |
| Koh Samui is well known for it vibrant and exciting nightlife, centred on Chaweng Beach.
The open air bars, pubs, cabaret shows and discos are the most popular night stops for tourists and include great discos like Green Mango, Reggae Pub and Full Cycle (Thai Disco). They are in turn surrounded by many good smaller pubs, beer bars and dance clubs. But the most popular, most fun and a guaranteed great time is definitively The Sweet Soul Cafe. Do not forget to check to check it out!!
Walk anywhere on Chaweng Beach Road and a plethora of wonderful Thai, Asian, and Western Restaurants can be found. For great food, full-bodied imported draft beers, and Sports Bar atmosphere, try the Islander or Tropical Murphy's.
Lamai Beach is a lot smaller and more quaint, but not without hot spots for a good time. The largest and most popular disco is the Bauhaus Pub, while a new Thai Disco just opened called Super Sup. All other pubs and bars are within walking distance including the very popular Siam Bar and Grill with great food and live entertainment, Smooth Pub (live band) and Fusion Club.
Finally for a much slower pace you can frequent Fisherman's village in Bo Phut. There are some quality pubs run by Englishmen offering a relaxed fishing village atmosphere (The Crows Nest, The Frog and Gecko, Tropicana and the Pub). |

| |
| Hin Ta - Hin Yai |
| These unusual formations are known as the Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks. The site is a popular attraction for locals and tourists alike because of their close resemblance to male and female genitals.
Their formation and shape have been personified into a local tale describing their existence on the island. The story goes that an old couple's boat wrecked and sunk in the bay, where their bodies washed ashore and created these strange rocks. Whatever their origin though, your pictures will no doubt make for some interesting conversation when shown to friends back home. |
| |
| Monkey Show |
| On Samui, the monkey is man's best friend. Since for centuries the people here have used monkeys to do the hardest part of the work climbing the trees to pick ripe nuts on their coconut plantations. Until the advent of tourism, coconuts represented the main industry here, so these industrious little animals were greatly prized. In the outdoor theatre, monkeys display their incredible dexterity, and not just at picking coconuts. The entertainment also includes performing elephants. |

| We look forward to welcoming you to Koh Samui |

| PS : This is what a travel guide said about us! |
| New York Travel Guide Thailand (gave us a Star as well!! and said: "Wow! A guesthouse where you actually feel like a guest in someone's house! In this case, Australian proprietor Timothy Schwan's. Pop-art guestrooms are decorated with giant paintings adorning the walls, chairs in the shape of giant hands, and kitschy lamps. What really creates the impression you are staying in someone's bedroom are the smaller details: a collection of books, including Thai travel guidebooks, Thai language manuals, and easy reading beach novels; a few DVD's atop the TV; colorful beach towels; and cozy beds covered with a dozen pillows and even a stuffed animal. Bathrooms are similarly accoutred. Penthouse room features a huge terrace with two teak sun beds, out door dinning, a lazy banana bed with sweeping 180 degree view and, just indoors, a private bath tub overlooking the terrace towards Chaweng Beach. Breakfasts are arguably the best on the island, although other meals are quite decent as well, and the vibe in the lobby bar/restaurant is friendly and comfortable." |
